Le Oshkosh M-ATV est un Véhicule anti mine “Mine Resistant Ambush Protected” (MRAP) développé par le Oshkosh Corporation de Oshkosh, au Wisconsin pour le programme “MRAP All Terrain Vehicle” (M-ATV).
It is designed to provide the same protection levels as the previous MRAPs but with better mobility and is intended to replace M1114 HMMWVs. It was produced at 10,000 units since its launch in 2009. It is used mainly by the US during the war in Afghanistan to reduce losses related to IEDs (improvised explosive devices). Many other countries including the United Arab utilize States, Croatia, Hungary and Poland.
The weapons are usually mounted M240 machine guns, a grenade launcher Mk 19, a Browning M2 machine gun, an anti-tank guided missile MILAN, or BGM-71 TOW anti-tank missile. Its crew consists of 4 people + the gunner turret.
