Who hasn't had a poster of the Ferrari F40 in their room or as a miniature car? The Ferrari F40 is a sports coupe built from 1987 to 1992 (until 1994 for the LM and 1996 for the GTE). The successor to the Ferrari 288 GTO, was designed to celebrate Ferrari's 40th anniversary and was the last model personally approved by Enzo Ferrari. It is the symbol car of the 1990s and 1311 F40s were manufactured in total.

The word quattro is derived from the Italian word for "four." The name was also used by Audi to refer to the quattro four-wheel drive system, or a four-wheel drive version of an Audi model. The Audi Quattro was the first rally car to benefit from the rules which allowed the use of four-wheel drive.
